Dr Matthew Facey completed medical training (MBBS with honours) at Monash University in 2008 and commenced training in anatomical pathology in 2010. Dr Facey trained initially in Ballarat and then spent 3 years training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Facey achieved fellowship with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2015 and commenced working in Ballarat as a consultant anatomical pathologist before moving to Dorevitch Pathology in late 2017.
Dr Facey enjoys teaching anatomical pathology trainees. He has a keen interest in head and neck (ENT) pathology, in addition to a broad range of neoplastic (tumour) pathology including breast, gastrointestinal, lymphoma and cutaneous (skin) pathology.
