Biography
Dr Adam Facey completed his haematology training after working at Alfred Health, Monash Health, Barwon Health and Melbourne Pathology. After completing his training, he returned to his hometown in Ballarat to work in clinical haematology with Grampians Health and in the laboratory with Dorevitch Pathology. He is passionate about rural medicine and all aspects of haematology including the full patient experience from presentation to diagnosis to treatment.
Special interests
Laboratory haematology interest in blood film and bone marrow morphology and transfusion medicine.
Clinical haematology interest in bleeding and clotting disorders (haemostasis/thrombosis), malignant disorders (myeloma, lymphomas, AML), and emerging therapies (including clinical trails).
Outside of work: gardening, cooking, table tennis and weightlifting.
