Dr Deborah Clarke

Biography
Dr Deborah Clarke graduated from the University of Otago Medical School in 2001. During her undergraduate medical training she was awarded the Edson Prize in Biochemistry and Second Prize in the JAD Iverach Prize in Clinical Medicine. She trained in Anatomical Pathology in Dunedin and New Plymouth, New Zealand, and gained Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2010. During her training she was awarded the Neil Prentice Memorial Prize for achieving the highest mark in the Basic Pathological Sciences examination in New Zealand.
Since gaining Fellowship, she has worked as an Anatomical Pathologist in laboratories in both New Zealand and Australia and joined DOR Pathology in 2021.
Dr Clarke’s main special interest area is dermatopathology. Dr Clarke is also actively involved in Pathology education. She is currently Senior Lecturer in Clinical Studies (Pathology) at Deakin University, and is a past member of the RCPA’s Academic Committee
