Dr Jenny Siaw Jin Wong

Dr Jenny Wong completed her medical degree at the University of Otago (New Zealand). She obtained fellowship in Medical Microbiology with The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA)in 2011. Prior to this, she has worked in various medical and specialty disciplines including obtaining a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a diploma in Child Health. She has worked at Canterbury Health (Christchurch), Family Planning Association Clinic, Royal Melbourne Hospital(fellowship), Australian Red Cross Blood Services and joined Dorevitch Pathology in August 2011.

Jenny is a member of the Australian Society of Microbiology (ASM), the American Society for Microbiology, The Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases (ASID) and the Australian Society for Antimicrobials(ASA).

She has a special interest in antimicrobial resistance and microbial diagnostics and enjoy monitoring the trends in respiratory viruses and selected nosocomial pathogens.
