Biography

Dr Katherine Nicholls graduated with a Medical degree from the University of Tasmania. Soon after graduating, she worked in the United Kingdom and Queensland however she completed her postgraduate training in Clinical Immunology/Allergy and Immunopathology in Australia. Dr Nicholls is the Deputy Head of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergy at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Passionate about teaching both physician and specialist trainees, she’s also a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia joint training committee. She’s an examiner for Immunopathology with the RCPA and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Anaesthetic Allergy Group where she recently completed her tenure as the Immunology Liaison representative. Dr Nicholls joined DOR Pathology in early 2010 where she is the Head of Immunopathology. Dr Nicholls is currently active in clinical research at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
