Biography

Dr Lisa Chang completed her MBBS at the University of Melbourne in 2003, receiving honours in all subjects throughout her degree. She worked as an intern and HMO at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne before spending 12 months in Alice Springs as a registrar, working with a patient population with a high burden of chronic and infectious disease.

Dr Chang finished her medical registrar training at St Vincent’s Hospital again, before moving to Adelaide to train as a microbiology and infectious diseases registrar. She finalized this training back in Melbourne at the Royal Children’s, Royal Women’s and St Vincent’s Hospitals and achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2014.

Dr Chang has a special interest in public health and rural and remote medicine, and enjoys the education and training of junior staff.
