Biography

Dr Roy Chean completed his medical training at the University of New South Wales. He did his Infectious Diseases and Microbiology specialty training in Western Australia, Singapore and Melbourne (Royal Melbourne Hospital, Monash Medical Centre). He obtained his Fellowship of The Royal College of Pathologists in 2013 and joined DOR Pathology in early 2014.Dr Chean has published in both local and international journals and has proffered papers and poster presentations at both national and international conferences. He works as a clinical microbiologist, infectious diseases and general physician in a number of public hospitals in Melbourne and country Victoria. He is a member of the Australian Medical Association, Australasian Society of Infectious Diseases, The Royal Australasian College of Physicians and The Royal College of Pathologists Australasia. He is additionally an examiner in the RACP physician exams, a reviewer of the journal Pathology and qualified in 2019 to be a NATA assessor.
